How to Understand a Vehicle Radiator?

When it comes to vehicle radiators, many people may not be particularly familiar with them. Radiators belong to the car cooling system, and the radiator in the engine coolant system is composed of three parts: the inlet chamber, outlet chamber, main plate, and radiator core. The hoses in the engine radiator system will age and become easily damaged, causing water to enter the radiator. When the hose bursts during driving, high-temperature water will spray out from under the engine cover in the form of large clusters of water vapor. When this happens, you should immediately choose a safe place to park and take emergency measures to solve the problem.

Solution to the leakage of vehicle radiator

In general, when water enters a vehicle radiator, the joint of the hose is most likely to crack and leak. In this case, you can use scissors to cut off the damaged part of the hose, and then re-insert the hose into the inlet joint of the radiator and secure it with a clamp or wire. If the crack is in the middle of the hose, you can wrap the leaking crack with tape. Before wrapping it, wipe the hose clean; after the leaking part is dry, wrap the tape around the leaking part tightly, as the water pressure inside the hose is relatively high when the engine is running. If you don't have tape at hand, you can wrap the crack with a plastic sheet and then cut the old cloth into strips to wrap around the hose. Sometimes, if the crack in the hose is relatively large, it may still leak after wrapping. In this case, you can open the water tank cap to reduce the pressure in the water system and reduce the leak. After taking these measures, the engine speed should not be too fast, try to drive in high gear, and also pay attention to the position of the water temperature gauge pointer while driving. If you find that the water temperature is too high, you should park the car to cool down or add cooling water.

vehicle radiator can be maintained using maintenance agents

Radiator rustproofing agents can prevent the occurrence of corrosion and air erosion in parts such as radiators, warm air radiators, cylinder bodies, and cylinder heads. The special buffering component added to the rust-preventive agent can neutralize acidic substances to prevent acid corrosion of various components in the system, and play a role in protecting the water tank. Rust-proof agents can also prevent the formation of deposits and enhance cooling effectiveness. The best time to add rust inhibitors is after cleaning the cooling system, where you should follow the product instructions for proper use. Cleaner for all-aluminum radiators can be used to remove scale, dirt, oil, and glue from radiators and engine water jackets. After cleaning, it can effectively improve the heat dissipation performance of engine water jackets and radiators and eliminate overheating faults in the engine. When selecting this type of cleaning agent, make sure that the product does not corrode radiators, hoses, sealing gaskets, aluminum alloy cylinder bodies, cylinder heads, etc.

Super cooling protectants for vehicle radiators can enhance cooling effectiveness when the engine is overheated

It can suppress the generation of foam in the vehicle radiator, prevent the radiator from boiling over, prevent rust and scaling in the cooling system, inhibit the pitting and air erosion of aluminum components, prolong the service life of the radiator, and have no corrosion to hoses and metal components in the cooling system.

The permanent radiator leak stopper has a quick leakage-stopping effect on the leakage and seepage of radiators, warm air radiators, cylinder bodies, cylinder heads, water pumps, and other parts in the cooling system. It is composed of delicate fibers, curing agents, rust and corrosion inhibitors, buffering agents, and anti-foaming components. Its leakage-stopping component is ultra-fine fiber, which will not block the radiator pipeline while also having rust and corrosion resistance functions that can greatly extend the service life of the vehicle radiator.
